She would collect 108 fresh flowers from the garden. Sometimes jasmine, sometimes hibiscus, sometimes even tiny wild blossoms.And as the first rays of the Sun gently kissed the earth, she would face the east, close hereyes, and offer each  flower with a mantra. It was her prayer, her science, her medicine, and her silence all in one.     As a child,  I used to watch her and wonder ‘Why is she offering flowers to a ball of fire in the sky?
